Nobody is working on new device support right now and no device
patches are pending. Go ahead.

AVR505 describes differences to
ATmega164A/164PA/324A/324PA/644A/644PA/1284/1284P family. Might be
useful.
Or maybe ATmega32 to ATmega64 are more related and might be better
starting point.
You know what to do. :-)
