The (ice-9 match) is actually not new at all (it’s in 1.8 too), but I
only started using it pervasively with Guile 2.0.
It’s a matter of coding style. I find ‘match’ much clearer that
sequences of ‘car’, ‘cdr’, ‘cadr’, etc. calls, more concise, and much
less error-prone.
