Per la stampante...
ho seguito quella bellissima osina scritta nell'email postata da Dwarfino...
ma niente!
allora ho scaricato la versione 1.1.17 di cups e ho aggiuornato le glibc alla 2.3.1!
faccio tutto il mio lavoretto, installo la stampante (che vede...) e...quando stampo la pagina di prova...

torno a lavoracchiare con LPR...
installo la stampante su porta parallela (non si sa mai..) e al momento di stampare la pagina del test:
