I think it's a worthwhile project. However, the Savannah people think
it's worthless. If they insist on thinking that, I suppose you will
have to think of something else. I'm interested in mentoring this one.
I don't like PHP very much, so if they have non-Python plans, I'm not
personally interested. They might be, however, so let them respond
with whatever they think should be done.

What is going on here?

Let's decide what we're doing before we continue communications with the prospective student.

I think a great idea for GSoC would be an "automated project review" utility, which could be written in python, or any other language...

Basically, we need a program that evaluates a tarball and ensure it meets the savannah standard.

Such a program would really cut the overhead of project submission review.
