We can set some more-objective-than-subjective criterium.

    I suggest this ones:

    - size of the community

The development community, or the users community?

In either case this criterium would defeat a bit one of the main goals
we announced when we joined the SoC this year: to boost the development
of GNU programs. Small projects with not that big development
communities would benefit much more from the SoC than projects having
lots of active contributors.

Generally speaking I am in favor of restricting one amazing app per GNU
program, and to reserve one amazing app for the small programs. The GNU
umbrella is for all the GNU programs, and I think that the slots must be
evenly distributed among them.

But we will discuss about this this evening in the IRC meeting...

But hopefully we can discuss this online (IRC) at 6:30pm!

Note that it is 18:30 UTC, which for example corresponds to 20:30 local
time in Germany (GMT+1). Timezone madness... :)
