Apart from the 2 slots for which travels are funded by Google,
maybe some of the money GNU received for the projects can help
fund the travel expenses for more mentors?

The more GNU people, the more fun.

See below the answer from Google.

    Hi Carol.

Some of the GNU mentors asked if it would be possible for more
    than two
delegates to attend the summit if we (i.e. the FSF) pay for their
    travel
    expenses.

Unfortunately not, since it is not just a matter of the travel
expenses that we have to make sure we can accomodate. It's also food,
# of hotel rooms, bus capacity to transport guests, and the rooms
where the conference is being held.

Or that is the purpose of the FIFO waiting list?

Yes.

Thanks,
Carol
