[gnu-soc] XaoS and Aris

Hi,
I had a detailed look at the proposals for the two projects I suggested.
* For XaoS, there are 7 proposals, one of them seems just a mistake (so it needs to be ignored), and there is one proposal which is technically very good and the student already contacted us -- I consider this a good collaboration.
* For Aris, there is 1 proposal, it is very good -- the student already fixed a couple of issues in the source code, so I support this student too.
For XaoS, there would be two co-mentors (they are not members of this list), one of them is a former GSoC student ('20), he was successful in the same software project. The other co-mentor is one of the co-maintainers of XaoS.
For Aris, I am currently alone as mentor, I got no feedback from Ian Dunn (the original author of Aris), but I hope I can invite a co-mentor from our math department.
So, I suggest that both projects (XaoS and Aris) should be selected to rank.

As a side note: Approximately this is the number of proposals for the other projects:
GNUnet: 3
Guix: 4
Lilypond: 1
Poke: 4
Quantum GNU: 1
Rust: 3
Taler: 2
According to this, I think XaoS should be well ranked because it received a high number of the proposals. For the same reason, Aris should have a lower rank, but I am quite satisfied with the proposal, so I would be glad if Aris could also be selected by Google (of course).

Best, Zoltan
