First of all a big thank you to all the developers. Synaptic has been a
very good program for a long time now and it just keeps getting better
and better.
I have found one minor glitch, which might be by design, but I thought I
would check on the list. If you use the "Status" button in version 0.55
to list all packages that have a newer version available, the list does
not get updated when you select a new "default distribution".
More detailed: assume I normally have "unstable" as my target
distribution. I select "Status" and the list of packages that have a
newer version. Now I go to the preferences and select "experimental" in
the tab labeled "Expert" as my target distribution. The package list is
now blank instead of listing all packages with a newer version in
experimental.
It might be that this is by design because updating the package lists
would consume too much time. It would be nice if the list is
automatically refreshed though.
Thanks,
Martijn
