[Terminal-discuss] [bug #27204] Terminal not being recognised as a GNUst

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #27204 (project terminal):

The following are results of tests on both the old tarball version (0.9.5)
and a new version (extracted from CVS on 6th December 2009), using libobjc
versions 4.1 and 4.4:

Old source, libobjc version 4.1 -

Creating Terminal services requires the workaround
of bringing up the Preferences panel and then making
        a 'dummy change'.

New source, libobjc version 4.1 -

After starting Terminal.app, services are automatically
        added to ~/GNUstep/Library/Services/TerminalServices.plist
and appear in GWorkspace's Services menu. However,
there seemed to be something a little strange about
the behaviour of the Preferences panel: on clicking
a tab, it was highlighted but the previously selected
tab remained highlighted and the contents of the panel
did not change to reflect the newly selected tab.

Old source, libobjc version 4.4 -

Creating Terminal services still needs the workaround
of bringing up the Preferences panel and then making
        a 'dummy change'.

New source, libobjc version 4.4 -

After starting Terminal.app, services are automatically
        added to ~/GNUstep/Library/Services/TerminalServices.plist
and appear in GWorkspace's Services menu.
