I have been able to mix both (maps and LRDUD) in the generated 3D

I'm afraid not, but you may generate the .xvi from LRUD data and use
them as background for map drawing.
Example - the data in [ ] are LRUD on FROM and TO point, but you may
use only in TO point:
fajciar-premeranie.th:
encoding utf-8
survey fajciar-premeranie
centreline
data normal from to length clino compass left right up down
1 2 15.83 -59.2 83 [0.6 3.3] [0.8 1.3] [1.3 9.0] [6.0 0.2]
2 3 3.52 19 124 [3.1 1.5] [1.4 0.6] [3.1 3.8] [0.2 1.9]
3 4 7.15 50.8 243 [0.3 0.9] [0.9 0.5] [3.8 2.1] [0.0 0.6]
4 5 7.36 63.3 291 [0.7 0.8] [2.3 0.7] [2.1 1] [0.0 0]
endcentreline
endsurvey
premeranie.thconfig:
encoding utf-8
source fajciar-premeranie.th
#export map -projection plan -output test-plan.pdf
#export map -projection extended -output test-elev.pdf
#export model -output test.thm
export map -projection plan -output test-plan.xvi
export map -projection extended -output test-extended.xvi
test-extended.xvi
