A couple more details that I forgot to mention. When I ran winecfg the
first time to set up the directories, etc., I selected Windows XP as
the emulation. The default is Windows 2000, so I'm not sure if this
makes a difference. When winecfg ran, I got an error that /dev/snd/seq
could not be opened. I solved that by loading the snd-seq module
(modprobe snd-seq) and udev created /dev/snd/seq automatically.
