Dunno how much rilevance it has, but mdk8.2 is still beta. I use
mdk8.0 on our mail servers here and mdk8.1 on my machine at home, and
I have compiled 1.3.4 effortlessly -- yes I'm still using 1.3.4, so
far I found nothing really vital in the new versions :-)

mdk7.2 and mdk8.0 required a softlink or a path change for
libmysqlclient to be properly included, IIRC. nothing serious though,
tpop3d works great.

I could try compiling 1.4.1pre4 on the same machines, if anybody
cares. Just don't ask me to set up that ldap thing :-)
