Hello,

I want to login on a remote machine (known only by ip-number) and
acquire superuser permissions there. To do this I tried the
recommended solution, described in the tramp manual:

As I'm new to tramp, I have (almost) no clue what I can do. Does
anyone see a mistake in my configuration or is it possible, that my
emacs/tramp version causes problems?

One important thing to note, is that I installed tramp for another
emacs-version, previously installed on my system. As the
tramp-configure script doesn't result for my new emacs version, I
continue to use the old tramp installation because it works fine;
exception: the mentioned problem above.
