This is really strange: suddenly Tramp is working again, after
recompiling Emacs. But I'm sure there were no significant changes since
yesterday, and neither of the 2 systems I tested yesterday have been
upgraded or modified. You can close the bug report; I will reopen if I
can replicate this bug again.
