Hello
I would like just to make a suggestion concerning the design
of a module system for Prolog.
There has been work done on solid module systems designed initially
for other programming languages, but which are largely independent of the base
language.
In particular I would suggest to consider the module system of Xavier Leroy:
X. Leroy. A modular module system, Journal of Functional Programming 10(3),
2000. http://pauillac.inria.fr/~xleroy/publi/modular-modules-jfp.ps.gz
Full source code available in the Web appendix
http://pauillac.inria.fr/~xleroy/publi/modular-modules-appendix/
I would appreciate feedback on any attempt to adapt this module system to
Prolog.
