the new "packs" tool, a portable and decentralized package manager; adds new 
"dif" and "format" abstraction libraries; updates the "hook_objects", "os", and 
"types" libraries; includes documentation updates to the Handbook, tools, man 
pages, and scripts; includes fixes and improvements for the "debugger", 
"diagrams", "lgtunit", and "tutor" tools; updates several programming examples; 
provides additional Prolog standards compliance tests; provides additional 
Logtalk tests; and includes portability updates for GNU Prolog, LVM, Tau 
Prolog, Trealla Prolog, XSB, and YAP.
