With most vi variants if I have line numbers enabled (:set nu) and I use the global command to list lines matching a pattern the original line numbers are retained in the matched listing. With vile the line numbers in [p-lines] buffer are renumbered starting from 1. Is it possible to have vile retain the original line numbers in the [p-lines] buffer or emulate the other behavior somehow?
vile can do something like that - use "pp" rather than "p" to print the buffer name and original line number (as part of the [p-lines] buffer
rather than in the number column). -- Thomas E. Dickey http://invisible-island.net ftp://invisible-island.net
