autoconf errors when running autogen.sh.  For example:

configure.in:840: warning: AC_CACHE_VAL(ac_have_flock, ...): suspicious
cache-id, must contain _cv_ to be cached
configure.in:869: warning: AC_CACHE_VAL(ac_have_backtrace, ...): suspicious
cache-id, must contain _cv_ to be cached
configure.in:888: warning: AC_CACHE_VAL(ac_have_eatnewlineglitch, ...):
suspicious cache-id, must contain _cv_ to be cached

$ autoconf --version
