I think that I know why. Running the adonthell RPM from the download site and
Wastesedge from Cooker, it ran O.K. only as root. I had a separate
.adonthellrc in /root, set to full screen. I may have been - in fact
probably was - still in as root from compiling when I ran that test, so it
would have picked up root's settings. Run from the menu, it ran windowed.
My resolution is set to 1024 x 768. I may still have had an
"adonthell-wastesedge" script lying around from before, but the one I edited
was put there by the RPM.
