Seconded.  We should however make sure that stuff works with Emacs
21.4, at least for now.

I think we should assign the more common and/or useful behavior to the
unprefixed command.  I am not in favor of making AUCTeX less useful on
Emacs for the sake of XEmacs' ancient code.
