What does that mean, "have not been updated"?  What's the output of
head /path/to/installed/auctex.info
?

Could you please send a bug report using `M-x TeX-submit-bug-report
RET' to the indicated email address and include answers to the above
questions as well as the make-install.out file you get from executing
make install 2>&1 | tee make-install.out
?
