To who?  Automake + autoconf + autoheader + autoscan + autoreconf +
autom4te + autoupdate ?

This option is already supported by all these tools.
It's spelled `; rm -rf autom4te.cache'.

Yeah, but can you make it the default option? :-)

Can someone explain the lifecycle of autom4te.cache?  It's
only used by maintainers, right?  And it contains values
shared by all the above tools?
