So Automake developers may hypothetically
add some new MACROS that Autoconf
could not possibly know about and cause it to crash????

... and somehow aclocal inspects Automake to prepare
any new macros Autoconf may not know about??

... and this is what goes in aclocal.m4?

Is that right?

Chris

P.S. So aclocal is just insurance in case versions
of Autoconf and Automake don't play nice together???

..maybe vital and may also be unnecessary?

you probably meant to say "interdependent",
but the relationship as it has evolved is definitely not a synonym for
   symbiosis.
