Ross,

There is a link on the website to the Atmel site. It is their product. I believe that it retails for around US$250 (quite reasonable for a JTAG box in my limited experience).

A review of it should be on avrfreaks (http://www.avrfreaks.net). note: This review deals deals with the Atmel JTAG ICE being used with AVR Studio.

Cheers,

scott Finneran

Hello Ross,

Check out AVaRICE(http://avarice.sourceforge.net). It is free(GPL) and allows you to interface the Atmel AVR JTAG ICE with gdb.

Hi,

I'm just starting with the Atmel line of chips, and
have an ABC maxi as my test bed. I am using the latest
GCC tool chain downloaded from AVR freaks.

How are you supposed to do debugging, especially
in circuit debugging, in this sort of environment?

Thanks
