If it turns out that your diagnosis is correct and you have blocked the ISP
port then maybe you could use the JTAG port. Has your application blocked
that or is it available? If it is, can you borrow a JTAG ICE or similar
JTAG interface? If you can't, but this seems the way out of your trouble, I
could lend you one by mail.
