[avr-gcc-list] required version of avr-libc to build example projects |

I've had troubles building the example projects that are part of
the documentation. I had the avr tool chain installed under ubuntu
using apt-get. Then I wanted to compile the example projects that I
grabbed from the online documentation. Except from the first, they all
refused to compile.
Being a newbie... it took me a while to find out that not the
examples where outdated, but the avr-libc that comes with ubuntu
universe!
Is it possible to include a line in the documentation
about the (minimum) required versions to compile the example projects?
(or something like 'tested with ....')
Maybe a FAQ entry?
Thanks,
Bram
