libtoc and friends don't build anymore because they include files that 
include glib and gtk and GTK_CFLAGS don't exist in AM_CFLAGS.

I'll try and remove glib/gtk from wherever possible, but we may still 
need to put GTK_CFLAGS back in Makefile.am
