Thank you for all the information provided. It as helpful.
After reading through the documents the question arises what exactly the role
of Bibledit will be in this whole process.
Bibledit does have its own formatter, which quickly and conveniently gives
proofprints, and no setup is required.
If it comes to typesetting, then XeText together with ptx2pdf seem to do the
job well on their own. Bibledit can export the USFM files to the system, then
ptx2pdf takes over the job from there.
What role is then left for Bibledit?
I am not thinking of making XeTex the default printing engine of Bibledit due
to the large amount of packages that this would require, while Bibledit
already provides a reasonably good engine of its own.
