Please report if it works better.

I've been using full length feature movies.  too big to send to you.
they are 8gb in size .mkv files

The conversion half width SBS converted to Checkerboard 1280/720.

To help, I need a way to reproduce the problem, so I need a sample
video. Alternatively, you could build the Bino binary yourself
(if that is an option for you) using the latest FFmpeg version;
this might already fix the problem.
