A preprelease?

Paul,

I still have miserable access to the Internet at work (mail and web,
no upload).  At home, it's a 56K modem...  I don't think I can really
expect making the prerelease.  Would you handle it?  I have tried to
provide all the details in HACKING.


I'd like to release this as is.  There are many things not finished
(C++, %destruct, %print etc.), but they do no harm, and yet there are
*many* bug fixes.  So, I'd like to make a beta soon, and, why not, a
release in August if you wish.


I'll be back at the end of August, and will probably not have much
time for all this :(  This is also why I'd like to push towards a
release.

If you don't have time, just forget it.

PS/  As for Autoconf, the problem is different: I'm not sure releasing
the MACRO_PATH is right, so this interface is to be decided once for
all before releasing.
