Yeah. It's nothing Bongo can do here, other than to set
`echo-keystrokes' and that's not something Bongo should do.

I created a very simple shell program which outputs text in a loop.
When I attach a process filter in Emacs to this program, the space
thing appears in the echo area when Emacs reads process output. I must
assume this can be fixed, since there is no space in Emacs 21.

When I extend this test to send text to the program, I'm starting to
see the echo area blocked. I don't know how much one can do about
this, given that Emacs is not multi-threaded. I'm not going to
investigate this further, so this concludes our findings.

I'll do that, unless I can find this was previously discussed on the
emacs-devel list.
