Hi,

AUCTeX fails to render the following character sequence right.  The
underscore is interpreted as an index indicator where it shouldn't
because of the \verb command.

$\verb!_my_variable_!\leq 100$

Such constructs appear in program documentation.  I don't know if
nesting \verb and math environments _is_ TeXnically save.  However,
LaTeX output is ok.
