There's a typo here:

+    (format "/org/gnome/evince/Window/0"

+    (cadr TeX-evince-gnome) (car TeX-evince-gnome))

+    (format "org.%s.%s.Window"

+    (cadr TeX-evince-gnome) (car TeX-evince-gnome))
