I am running FreeBSD 4.7-STABLE and have no problem compiling network.cpp
at all, using the default installed version of gcc (2.95.4). Of course, I
still can't compile almost any part of CommonC++ with gcc 3.x on FreeBSD,
but with 2.95.4 it goes just fine (I think I have all ./configure options
other than --with-piostreams enabled.).
