Nearest I have found so far is the following:

My enscript is based on 1.6.4-7. The lastest in debian is
in 1.6.4-11.1. None of the bugs address this problem, specifically.
Do you have an idea where to look in the code? Can diff'ing the
two .ps files give an indication of what might be wrong?

I'm not sure if it is okay to send the .ps file to the list. However, I
will send it to you in a separate reply.
I have uploaded it to: http://retout.co.uk/2009/enscript/readme.ps

My copy of evince gives me a segmentation fault with this file, which I
find amusing. :) But gv displays the behaviour you described.

...and my copy of enscript from Debian does not generate a readme.ps
with this problem. So that's a good start for finding the bug - one of
the Debian patches must fix it.

Do you feel up to finding which one so that I can look at applying it
upstream? That would be a great help.
