Non-english-preferring users of findutils on non-GNU systems?

Someone has just suggested that it might be worthwhile for findutils
to follow GNU coreutils and GNU tar in dropping support for localised
message catalogues on systems which lack the GNU gettext library
(i.e. to discontinue support for the 'internal' copy of GNU gettext).

This would mean that one of the following situation would pertain:

1. You only use English messages.

2. You use non-English messages but have installed GNU gettext on your
   system already.

3. You use non-English messages but are using a GNU system (for example
   GNU/Linux or GNU/Hurd).

Are there any users of findutils who don't fit (1), (2) or (3) above?
