In order to upload new findutils releases to the GNU FTP sites, I need
to sign them. I sign them with GPG, and the detached signature file
is also uploaded to the FTP site (either ftp.gnu.org or
alpha.gnu.org). The signature is verified by the GNU FTP upload robot
before it allows the file to be placed on the public FTP site.

Some people prefer to check these signatures themselves, too.
However, my GPG key contains an attached photo, and so the keyservers
will not accept it. It might make sense for the GNU project to
publish the public keys of the authorised uploaders, but I don't think
they actually do this at the moment.

For the benefit of those with an interest in verifying the integrity
of findutils releases, please find attached my public key.

Regards,
James Youngman.
