Hi. I've compiled GAWK using gcc 4.9.1, and I'm seeing the above five tests fail. The output of these failed tests and the build log is posted at this gist:

The configure line is

./configure --disable-debug --disable-dependency-tracking --prefix=/home/sjackman/.linuxbrew/Cellar/gawk/4.1.1 --without-readline --without-mpfr --without-libsigsegv-prefix
