compiling --target=cygwin32-*

Hi,

I'm having trouble with the latest gdb 5.0 code in trying to cross compile for
a win32 host.

Please bear with me while I explain my clients needs...they are using cygwin
and have the release code of 99r1p1, which includes gdb 4.18. I'm trying to
get gdb 5.0 or newer to cross compile to run on Windows under cygwin (yuck!, I
know but this is what I am tasked to do).

My goal was to get the gdb 5.0 sources able to build using the cross compiler,
i386-cygwin32-gcc, to produce the proper target.

I have worked with the cross compiler and have used gdb 4.x on an embedded
Linux project (Kerbango Internet Radio) which was shutdown and put to the
shelf...<weep!>

Any help that you can give me in getting a working set of source code that
will do that would be appreciated, or if there is something I can help with to
get the code compiling cleanly would be appreciated.
