loose line at beginning of page

I am running Turbolinux 6.0 with an Epson Stylus Photo
700 printer.  After some struggle I have gotten the
setup to print from all sources, but at the top of
every first page it prints: "No filename for
parameters given.  Assume stcany."  Turbolinux says
this is "a ghostscript bug," and provided links which
led me to you.  I have a general grasp of Unix/Linux
operation, but I am no gearhead.  Can you offer any
assistance?  Sincere thanks in advance, if you can.
