Suggestion for change

Hi there people.

I have come up with the following idea for an
improvement to the engine.


In the following position (lower case means black)
  4k3/2B1q1pp/8/3p1Qp1/8/8/2P2PPP/6K1
White is ahead by a bishop and should, in my
view, exchange queens in order to simplify
the position.

So, the desired moves would be Qe5
followed by Qe7 capturing the Black queen.

I ran GNU chess and a search to 6, 7 or 8 ply
(I forget which)
did not recommend this move.

I am thinking of coding up some kind of
bonus or penalty to encourage GNU chess
to move "correctly" but wanted to get
feedback from people here.

Does what I propose sound okay?
