bug#1217: 23.0.60; (setq mac-option-modifier nil): Shift-Alt = Shift

From: Carsten Bormann
Subject: bug#1217: 23.0.60; (setq mac-option-modifier nil): Shift-Alt = Shift
Date: Tue, 21 Oct 2008 21:23:25 +0200

After setting
(setq mac-option-modifier nil)
the alt-key (option-key) combinations work as desired, but shift-alt- key acts as if only shift had been pressed. (In the view-lossage, you can see me pressing alt-w (for Sigma) a couple times, then shift-alt-w (for German left quotes), which get turned into shift-W.)
(This apparently has been true for a couple of weeks now.)

In GNU Emacs 23.0.60.17 (i386-apple-darwin9.5.0, *Step 9.0)
