Hello
Two bugs to report in 1.13.19.
These bugs are not present in 1.13
Bug 1:
An Archive member whose name is ``./'' and is tar type DIRTYPE, when
unpacked (with xpf options), does *NOT* have the archive's
permissions imposed in the file system file hierarchy.
Bug 2:
An Archive member whose name is ``./foo1/'' (or any common directory
name) and is tar type DIRTYPE, when unpacked (with xpf options),
*does* correctly have its permissions created/imposed *UNLESS*
the directory is a file system mount pount.
IN SUMMARY:
Concerning GNU tar version 1.13.19:
Directory permission are not set to match the
archive's permissions if the member name is ``./'' or the
existing directory is a file system mount point *even*
if the user uses the ``p'' option. This behavior contradicts
the behavior of GNU tar 1.13 and GNU tar 1.11.8.
