| Here again, gettextize adds to EXTRA_DIST only those files which it
| hasn't found in the source distrib. Which means that you must have
| started with an inconsistent source package.

I'm sorry Bruno, but there seems to be a miscommunication between you
and me.

I perfectly understand the origin of the problem, I don't need it to
be explained again. I would rather see the problem fixed in such a
way that everybody will find the result package, Gettext, more
useful. I don't need Gettext to tell me my way of using it is right
or wrong, I just need it to remain straight simple and either

- not to touch any of my files

- to touch them only when it makes sense

It turns out it touches my files without understanding what it is
doing, which I hardly can call a feature. I'm asking for it to
perform one of the two aforementioned behaviors.

I'm ready to submit the patch, I understand you are busy, and the time
you'd spend on this would be lost for something else.
