Hi Nelson, Thank you for the report. It certainly would be handy to have some more information. The test uses the newly built shar to copy a subset of the distribution into a scribble directory (usually /tmp) and then does a recursive compare to ensure that the two directories look the same. SO, look in /tmp and/ or ${TMPDIR} and see if it is still around. I successfully built and installed sharutils-4.6.3 today on about 15 flavors of Unix. However, all builds on Sun Solaris 7, 8, 9, and 10 SPARC, Solaris 10 IA-32, and Compaq/DEC Alpha OSF1 4.0 failed in the test suite, like this: /local/build/c99/sharutils-4.6.3 and shar-3.d differ FAIL: shar-3
