I don't think I'd go as far as to say that the behaviour would be
severly problematic, but certainly annoying in many cases (see the
examples J?rn and ?ystein posted earlier; figuring out what to
do to names like "example.sgf.orig" or "example.sgf~" when saving as
SGF are other troublesome cases).
