I wouldn't worry too much - the error message is obvious and
commenting out the line doesn't look too serious, since you no longer
pre-pend to the path. 

I'd just like to extend my appreciation for the work you do in keeping
the daily update site running. Without your work and Oystein's, gnubg
would still be a very obscure program. In fact, it's easier to build
gnubg for Windows that it is for anything by a Linux system - you have
no idea what fun one can have trying to get the needed libraries
working under different OS'es, although if you watch what Holger is
going through with Solaris, you might begin to see what it can be
like.
