I would think a policy of "take what is given in the table but require a minimum of N-1" for postcrawford (where N is table size) makes sense ...

Yes, I understand that. But internally gnubg stores the match equities
up to 64-away, so it needs to extend the table when it's only valid up
to 25-away.

I can easily change the code to extend the post crawford table from
(n-1)-away instead of n-away if that's more logical.
