Really?

E.g.: when navigating to the first game of the match, the statistics
shown are for the whole match but the label reads "All games: player1 0,
player2 0". I don't see the correlation between the stats of the whole
match and score of the game selected in the move record window.

Ah, now I see what you mean. Yes, for overall (not game) statistics it showed the currently selected game. Now it shows the final score.
