Perhaps not GG or GS specifically, but the notion isn't exclusive to the
GOL crowd. I've seen the same idea refered to as Gammon-Avoid and
Gammon-Seek, etc. I still prefer a text term over more buttons with
numbers which will make it more intimidating and confusing since there
already are numbered buttons in the annotation area. How about a
mouse-over floating tip?

GG = Gammon-Go: The side playing will try far more aggressively to win a
gammon than usual due to the score. 
GS = Gammon-Save: The side playing will try to avoid being gammoned far
more aggressively than usual due to the score.
DMP = Double Match Point: The winner of this game wins the match so
gammons have no value. The only important factor is the straight winning
percentage.

Would that be better?
